Kim Marie Staron was born in Arnot, Pennsylvania in 1962. She
graduated from California Western School of Law in 1992. Ms. Staron
received her undergraduate degree from Nova University in Fort
Lauderdale, Florida in 1988 where she graduated with honors. She
was admitted to practice in the California and Federal Courts
in 1992. She is currently a member of the San Diego County Bar
Association and the Foothills Bar Association.
Ms. Staron is the Immediate Past President of the Foothills Bar Association, an East County association of attorneys. She is the current President of Stoney's Kids, a charitable organization dedicated to improving the lives of children in East County. Ms. Staron was a participant in the Volunteer Lawyers
Program and she received the Manuel E. Wiley award for pro
bono services consecutively for 12 years. She served
as an appointed attorney for the Superior Court of California,
Department of Child Support Services. She serves as court-appointed counsel through the Lawyer Referral and Information Service for servicemembers pursuant to the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act. She is a past member of
the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego, Lawyers Club of San Diego
and the Young Lawyers Association of the San Diego County Bar
Association where she served as a co-chair of the section in 1996-1997.
She is currently a member of the Family Law and Military Law Sections of the San
Diego County Bar Association. Ms. Staron has been in private practice
since 1993.
AREAS OF PRACTICE: Primarily Family Law, including, but
not limited to, pre-marital and post-marital agreements, dissolutions, annulments,
legal separations, child custody, child and spousal support, property
division, and Family Support Division cases.
SPECIAL INTERESTS: Ms. Staron has an avid interest in
computers and related activities. She was involved in
Team in Training
on the San Diego cycling team. She completed the El Tour de Tucson
in 2000 and 2001 with the Team. She is a current member of the San Diego Mountain Rescue Team. She participates in adventure racing and off-road sprint triathalons.
